What started as a family dream
The Wooden Spoon grew from a simple idea: cook honest food with real ingredients and treat every guest like family. That principle guides every decision we make — from the farmers we partner with to the bread we bake before dawn.
We call it Our Roots because everything circles back to where we started: a family kitchen, local ingredients, and the belief that good food brings people together.
How We Cook
Scratch is the default
Sauces, batters, stocks, and bakery staples start in our kitchen — not from a tub of mystery base. That takes longer, and we would not have it any other way.
No preservatives or fillers
We do not lean on shelf-stable extenders to fake body or stretch a product. If you would not recognize it in a home pantry, we are not interested in using it.
Clean labels
When we package something for you to take home, the ingredient list stays short and honest — the way we would want to read it ourselves.
